Our aim is to offer positive and accessible pathways to education, life skills, employment training and recreation for young people (between the ages of 15 and 30) and their families. We would like to build a network of centres dedicated to offering a safe haven of support, well-being, mentorship and cultural diversity for young people and their families. #MakingTransformationPossible
Meet the Team

Michael Puffet
Michael Puffett is a director of the Make Memories Group (tourism industry) and one of the owners of the high profile Ilita Lodge and Deja View Coffee Shop on the hills overlooking Great Brak River. He is also one of the founders and director of the Wonderful Southern Africa Foundation, a NPC established to further transformation in our country through skills development and job creation for the eradication of poverty in our region. He has a passion for business, adventure and community impact. He has done strategic leadership development all around the world and moved back to SA in 2015.

John Cable
John Cable is a qualified Electrical Engineer Technician and has worked in business and the charity sector for over 20 years in the UK and South Africa. He brings many years of experience working with teams and managing staff in both the Engineering field and various other organisations. Currently a director of Make Memories Group and Ilita Lodge. John is a founding director of Wonderful SA NPC which works in partnership with the Mosselbay Municipality to operate their Youth Cafe in Great Brak River.
John believes that life begins outside your comfort zone.

Jannes Buys
Jannes Buys has a Bachelors of Commerce in Law, completed at the University of Pretoria 2011, as well as LLB at UNISA completed 2015. He has a love for learning, and helped start the Wonderful SA Foundation. He enjoys pioneering new ventures, and is passionate about business and community. He serves as a director and Treasurer for WSA.
Lastly, Jannes enjoys traveling and seeing what this beautiful world has to offer, through nature, culture, places and people.
Jannes is passionate about governance, good leadership and setting an example.

Aa’ishah Alexander
Aa’ishah Alexander moved her family of five to George from Kimberley in the Northern Cape were she graduated with her B.Tech Degree in Human Resource Management. She proceeded to work in performance management and thereafter moved to George. She was a supervisor at the Department of Home Affairs where she was scouted by the Director of Wonderful SA Foundation, because of her relational nature with people.
Passionate about people, the move to Great Brak River was a natural fit where she is now involved in Youth Development. She has a heart for community that sprouts out of thankfulness through what the Almighty has done for her. Her motto goes hand and hand with this, as she believes that you need to be grateful for the little things, in order for the great to follow.
In here private time she loves to spend time with family and friends. One of her hidden talents is singing and song writing.

Maximus Mamakoko
Maximus Mamakoko is an incredible young leader. He was part of the Koinonia Training Centre’s Year of Training leadership school and then became part of the staff team of the Creative Arts Academy where he oversaw music lessons, leadership training and ran the recording centre. He plays the guitar, drums, keyboard and is a great vocal coach. His passions are youth development, entertainment and business.
This young man is newest member of our Wonderful Southern Africa team and is determined to bring about transformation in the next generation through arts and music. He was also nominated in 2019 as one of News24’s 100 Young Mandelas of the Future.
Max strongly believes that genuine transformation first takes place in the mind, then it flows to the heart, so if you want to change a nation you must first challenge/change the way they think.
